Flatness-Based Decentralized Control of Bidirectional Interlink Power Converters in Grid-Connected Hybrid Microgrids Using Adaptive High-Gain PI-Observer

This article studies the control of bidirectional interlink power converters (BILPCs) in hybrid microgrids (HMGs). Here, BILPCs interconnect a dc microgrid to an ac grid-connected HMG. Thanks flatness property differential equations BILPCs, method is able provide desirable output characteristics and robustness against unmodeled dynamics unknown inputs. First, flat models single BILPC parallel-connected are determined. Second, approximate inputs disturbances such as changes controlled voltages adaptive high-gain proportional-integral observer designed for BILPCs. Based on linear quadratic regulation approach, high gains this change dynamically during approximation process, achieve best result. Third, approximated parameters implemented design process sliding mode control-based decentralized controllers The simulations confirm capability new considering dynamic response transferring among microgrids.
